Quick-Tissue™ Differentiation Technology

Quick-Tissue™ stem cell differentiation kits are a complete reagent set that enable differentiation of iPSCs and ESCs in as little as 1-2 weeks depending on the desired cell type. The workflow is simple enough to be performed in any life science lab to reliably produce highly pure differentiated cells. Differentiated cells are stable and can be maintained long-term using our cell type-specific maintenance media.

Quick-Tissue™ differentiation kits induce differentiation through delivery of a proprietary mix of transcription factors, which can be introduced using either our mRNA-based or Sendai virus (SeV)-based kits. Both delivery methods provide robust “footprint-free,” non-integrating expression of the transcription factors, although each kit uses a slightly different workflow. We recommend the mRNA-based kits for labs with experience culturing iPSCs/ESCs, as the workflow involves slightly more manipulation of fragile differentiating cells than the SeV-based kits. The SeV-based kits are better for labs with little experience culturing iPSCs/ESCs, although they must be used with BSL-2 safety measures and may require prior approval from your Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC).
